Located North of Fort Worth Texas at 505 NW 38th Street, is Meacham International Airport and nearby, close to the perimeter road is the Vintage Flying Museum, just one of the many aviation museums in the Fort Worth area. The Vintage Flying Museum is a non profit organization, whose primary mission is to preserve America's flying heritage and to give the public educational tours of not only their aircraft, but also the extensive artifact and memorabilia collection ranging from WWI through to the Vietnam era.
As almost all of the museum aircraft are flyable, it is not unusual for the aircraft on show to change, as different aircraft come in for maintenance from time to time, so the visitor may get a surprise or two. A polite request may get you into the storage and restoration hangar where a range of very interesting aircraft may be seen. I have always found the staff to be friendly and for $10.00 the adult ticket is well worth it.
