Haifa Israel - IDF Technical School 2014

The Israel Defence Force (IDF) Technical School, at Haifa is located on the Southern side of Haifa Airport and prior permission is required to view the outside aircraft. The inside airframes were not viewable on this visit, but there were some visiting aircraft present and permission was given for them to be photographed in addition.



Haifa airport was constructed in 1934 and in the late 1950s the Israeli Air Force opened a technical school here. A small museum was begun here in the mid 1980’s and slowly added to, being kept mostly outdoors many markings are somewhat faded now and the light planes have suffered some damage from the weather, however I believe it remains a collection with great appeal to the average enthusiast.
