Situated on the North side of the Luzernersee, 2km South of the town centre. Opening in 1959, an Air and Space wing was added by 1972. All modes of transport are catered for and it also has a Planetarium and an IMAX for visitors to use at an enhanced entrance fee. The aircraft collection is largely civil types and hung in the air, an evil practice abhorred by many enthusiasts. You are able to enter the Dakota and CV-990 to view the cockpits and seating arrangements. Their Twin Pioneer (HB-HOX) is not here, it is believed kept now at Sion and not accessible.
