Located on the site of an Italian civil pre-war and wartime/post war RAF airfield and now part of Crafts village and sports complex at the village of Ta’Qali is the 3 hangars of the Malta Aviation Museum. For the benefit of those who are unaware, Malta is criss-crossed with reasonably priced and frequent buses and coaches. Thus, the museum is easily reached by getting a bus near your lodgings/hotel and by changing at the Valetta bus terminal and alighting at a stop just yards from the museum.
If it is of interest to you there is also a Sea Gladiator used in the defence of Malta, a legendary “Faith” (although there were probably several each of “Faiths” “Hopes” and “Charities”, it’s a good yarn). This is amongst other war relics at Fort St Elmo in Valetta and not ideally displayed for photos (wide angle needed). Also on the island there are some remains in tanks at the Malta Aquarium that may interest some.
Malta is keen to welcome visitors again, post CV19 and is listed as being among the 20 safest places to travel to, plus it normally boasts warm/hot weather, clear waters and keen prices.
