Texas - Tyler Historic Aviation Memorial Museum 2016
Located at the old Northern Terminal, by the Control Tower at Tyler Pounds regional airport, roughly 100 miles to the North of Dallas, Texas.
At the time of our USA tour in April 2016 there were just over a dozen US built aircraft outside on display and some projects nearby awaiting their turn. The museum has grown steadily since, as can be attested to by visiting their Facebook page (Tyler HAMM). This will also provide opening times currently Friday- Sunday 10a.m to 4p.m. Being largely outside there should be little problem in taking suitable photographs of the exhibits.
We found the staff to be both friendly and knowledgeable, being familiar with these types of aircraft and helicopters. Well worth a visit whilst travelling from Dallas TX to Shreveport LA.
