Located 3 miles East of Shreveport, LA, inside the gate of Barksdale AFB and perhaps better known by its original name of the 8th Air Force museum, sponsorship is now required non-US residents to visit this museum, although most of the aircraft are visible from the road outside.
In April 2014 I was able to photograph the aircraft outside on display and shown here, including a Vulcan which is quite familiar to us in the UK. An A-10 and F-4C also exist in the base HQ area and B-52s are likely to be seen spread around the base at many points.
