If you are ever in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas you are never short of aviation museums or air parks to visit The Veterans Memorial Air Park (VMAP) located on Ross Avenue, Fort Worth, the air park is open Wed 09.00 - 16.00, Sat. 09.00 - 17.00 and Sun 11.00 - 17.00 with a $5.00 adult entry price. The VMAP is a group of organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of aviation in Fort Worth, Northern Texas region and around the world. As the name implies they concentrate on a variety of military related topics. Their aircraft collection consists of twenty-one aircraft dating from 1943 to the present and are generally kept in good condition, affording excellent photographic opportunities in the park setting. The staff are very friendly, helpful and there is a gift shop with a indoor display area on site, which is well worth a look.
