CAL Fire Station 43 Redding CA

Whilst routing South from Oregon into Northern California we passed through the town of Redding which had a Municipal Airport, whilst stopping for a quick look over the fence we noticed some CAL Fire aircraft on the ramp, an S2 Tracker and OV10 Bronco both in the normal lovely looking red and white colour scheme. Shortly we were taking photos through the fence, then asked by a CAL Fire officer why we were at the fence? we explained what we were doing and that we had just been guests of CAL Fire HQ at Sacramento a few days earlier and if we could come onto the ramp for 10 minutes to take some photos with the sun behind us? shortly after permission was given for a very quick escorted visit on their ramp. Well only two aircraft but lovely lighting and a location we had never visited before so the photo's below were greatly received as little trip bonus.
